Since 1968, Bernie Krause has traveled the globe to record, archive, research, and express the voice of the natural world – its soundscape. These increasingly rare sounds of the wild inform and enrich our specialized efforts from the field to public performance.

Hie recordings have created a vast archive, providing a deep well of knowledge about the earth and the voices of those who live here. Climate change is made palpable through some of these recordings. At sites where Krause has recorded regularly over many years, the voices have changes as the changing climate has banished some species and welcomed others.
